I have been using JustHost for quite sometime now and i constantly have issues with the server I am hosted on being taken offline for maintenance with NO NOTIFICATION to me whatsoever. I have a 24/7 website where users purchase a service every day and sometimes you wake up and the site is down and no one has told you why. You then have to open support tickets and wont get a response for at least an hour if lucky. You can call support and then they finally tell you that your server has been taken offline for service. Thanks.. Now that non of my customers can access the site and my support is being hit with emails. Cheap and fast but just not business savy…Would not use this hoster again and the only thing keeping me here right now is that its a pain to move my site over.

I’ve been using JustHost for nearly a year now. Their cPanel is absolutely lovely and always kept up-to-date with the latest software. I never have to manually install or upgrade any of the website features that I design with. HOWEVER, I have to say that 90% of the time, my website, even with minimal content, is incredibly laggy or the MySQL server will overload with only 5 user accounts being stored and less than 100 forum posts. On the bright side, their customer service is always efficient and expedient. It’s good for a personal site if it doesn’t need reliability or speed.

Haven’t used them as a host, but I went to check out their site, and when I tried closing the window, they popped up a deliberately confusing dialog box and a chat window to try to keep me on the site, and when closing that, another dialog popped up. Seems pretty desperate, and pretty annoying. hosting package looks good though… but I won’t choose them cause I don’t like random pop ups

Just Hosting has good pricing if you get at least a years worth. It does give you many options and that is good. But they lie about unlimited bandwidth and space: You cannot stream any media. It violates their Terms Of Service. You also cannot use your web-space to store backups. So, what they are saying is that you have unlimited bandwidth, but if you use it you can be shut down. They also try to sell you a million things like faster server, auto backups and things like that. I opted for the faster server until they told me to delete all my media files or they wouldn’t move me to the new server. I opted out and am going to find a better provider when I can afford it.

Sure, the software is great and the service is cheap. But the uptime is so so at the very best, and the way they treat customers is abominable. If they think you are using too much cpu power, they will suspend your site and replace it with a very ugly ’suspended’ message. Good luck getting access back to your site when they do. They claimed we used 24% of cpu power for a simple Joomla site that draws 77 visitors per month according to Google. Yeah right. Makes you wonder what the hell kind of cpus they use. My advice: pay a little more, get a proper hosting company.

It didn’t happened Google to index my site in the first 4 days therefore I went back to JustHost for some information. I’ve been told that I have to purchase Search engine submission. I said I don’t want that as long as I’ve managed to submit the site myself. I’ve been told that if I don’t purchase the extras I won’t be able to see my site indexed by Google. -I’ve asked for my money back. -Justhost has refunded my money to the last penny.

After seeing reviews, and going deeper into their site… I realize that these people are idiots.
I had my first site bought from these people and after several months I was suspended cause of a CPU over load and I get told to try upgrading to a dedicated server. After a long day or two of emailing, my site is now online and I had to remove a Wiki page.
Also, their servers are crappy… My site always goes down after awhile may be a few months or so. I didn’t feel like contacting them, because they’ll just give me an excuse saying we did a server update… When I can see in my cPanel stats that it’s not an update.
And their special promo? FAKE!!! Go on their site once in a while, and you still see their offering that crappy promo.
Later on I’ll be planning on moving to a VPS or dedicated server.

I purchased JustHost because they were supposed to be user-friendly and have great customer support. It is fairly easy to set up pages, but uploading photos or images any larger than 2MB isn’t possible. However, they won’t tell you that. They just tell you they don’t know what’s going on, and they’ve never had this problem before. Also, customer support is a sham. Sometimes they answer your calls, but the tech guys are all very hard to understand, and worse, not one of them has been able to answer my question. None of them understood why I couldn’t upload my images. They all say, “We’ll get back to you.” But they never do. It took my 17-year-old son to figure out the problem with my images! I even had one tech support guy yelling at me about a cpanel, then he hung up on me! So — they pay these “tech support” guys to answer the phone, but not one of them knows the program! This whole thing is a joke. I paid for extra serice, but it hasn’t happened. Avoid JustHost!!!

The unlimited packages ensure that I don’t have to worry about crossing limits. I can, for instance, add wordpress installs, or Joomla installs, or custom scripts requiring databases without batting an eyelid – and I don’t have to cram many tables into single databases because of some overall restriction. It’s really nice to have no bandwidth restrictions either – in fact, there are practically no restrictions I can think of… except that if you need shell access for some reason you’ll need to upgrade (and a bunch of other “advanced” features are bundled into upgrades too, like ‘going green’ and ‘an advanced search engine submission service’).
I’ve had to appeal to their customer support on account of billing and technical queries a few times – and the response has always been prompt and satisfactory. I can’t say I’ve had to use their support in any serious way (but that probably goes to prove that their service has been that good!), but whenever I had an occasion, I’ve come off with no complaints.
The free ad credits and lifelong-free domain alone make up for the price – the features are excellent, and watch out for their promotions on upgrades! This is a company totally dedicated to making your hosting experience a smooth one, and I would be happy to recommend them to you. “

Dammit! I should have known to check reviews before signing up! I found them thru google.com and thought what a good hosting package! Needless to say, I purchased a one year hosting plan! Everything was setup and running smoothly the first day! Second, third, fourth, and the fifth day! DOOM! I had this site and its creation for some time now, I was happy the site was up and running, I promoted the site, on radio, tv, and the internet! I even had assigned email addresses! To my knowledge I get a phone call from a client staying he tried to email me and access his web login and the site was down! I emailed them and was told there having issues and it would be resolved within 2hours! I checked the site about 4 hours later and everything seemed to be there! Yet, i wake u this morning to only find its offline again! I’ve been trying to call and all I get is non-English speaking poor customer service reps! They told me this sad story that techs are working hard, i told them this has been day 2 with the same problem, I also stated that there website states differently, she failed to acknowledge my statement and yet, again, told me the techs were hard at working trying to fix the problem and that the problem was overseas and there in the process of moving servers and i would have to wait! Also, After first signing into my account I was flooded with pop ups to ‘upgrade’ my account! I must have clicked ‘No, Thanks’ about 15 times, every time I log in I get about 4 pop ups from justhost.com asking me to upgrade! Its more SPAM then we’re used to! I do advise everyone else to find a new host! Yes, this web host seems like a good deal but like they say, you get what you pay for! So for just a few more bucks a month you can find yourself a better hosting as well as true customer service! I will be opening a claim with BBB after I post this! This to me is considered fraud/spam!

It is impossible to get a refund from these scammers. They claim several things that are not accurate. 24/7 phone support??? Someone want to show me where they post that number on that site? I had to get it from this site. The live support chat representatives wouldn’t even give it to me. When i did call, i was conveniently told that billing could not be handled over the phone due to security reasons. Oddly enough, when I called back and requested to set up another service, they were more than willing to take my credit card information over the phone. How’s that work? Needless to day, i did not give it to them, but told them that i had just talked to them requesting a refund, and asked why my refund couldnt be handled over the phone, but my subscription setup could. They should have contacted me to warn me first, but they dind’t. Only after 2 days and a lot of nerves and exchanged emails, my site was up, on a different server. Since then my site has nerver worked properly again. The server has been offline almost every day. The 99.9% uptime is the biggest lie. They always promise to fix problems, but they actually nerver do. It’s a nightmare. Don’t buy their services.

JUSTHOST.COM is FRAUD! Guarantee agreement on their site is False. On May 9, I signed up for service with Justhost.Com. On my first day with Justhost, I started to learn that most of the statements on their site are false. Please look at this link on their site http://www.justhost.com/guarantees. Within that link, they claim, “We guarantee that you will be able to reach us and speak with a real human being, someone who speaks English and can answer your questions, fix your problems and help you resolve your issues.” This is a FRAUD. All members of their support team I have talked to do not speak good English and cannot help you resolve any issue. They are only there to advise you to send an email, which is usually answered about 6 hours later. The money back guarantee is a fraud. For cancellation, you have to send them an email, which is not answered days after of your request. I have not yet received my refund or a cancellation confirmation email. The accredited with Better Business Bureau is new as of 03/23/2009 and I assume their intention for joining was another fraud for new members to trust their site. There are already 10 similar reports of refund FRAUD. On May 14, my account was suspended and I was asked to sign up for a dedicated server because I have exceeded the 10% usage. I contacted them on the phone to advise them that I was not planning to upgrade and need to remove my files. I was told that I needed to send an email. I immediately sent them an email and they never replied. Six hours later, I sent them another email to ask for my files so I can cancel my account. No reply. On day two, I sent another email no reply. So far, I have sent them over 8 email with no reply. Justhost.com is a FRAUD. They get you to sign up, suspend your account, and then force you to upgrade to a dedicated server. Their claim of me exceeding the 10% CPU is false because from my cpanel, I have never exceeded 7% and my site does not have the much traffic. As of today, they have not confirmed my cancellation request or allowed me to get my files. I think this company is operated outside of the USA but is a reseller of another company like ThePlanet. Please stay away from this company.

A pity that they don’t mention up front that AFTER you’ve paid, THEN they decide to tell you that your website is NOT e-commerce enabled ($19.95 a year additional), is NOT secure ($9.95), has no privacy protection ($14.95 additional, if I recall correctly) …. in fact, has basically nothing except a non-secure, unusable shell that you have to pay, pay, pay, pay and pay again for with hidden charges and no guarantee that there aren’t MORE hidden charges to be revealed after you’ve paid for these. I would give them a -400/5 rating, not 1/5, if the rating system permitted it. Summary: you WILL have to pay MANY hidden charges to get even a semi-functional website.

I was told one thing during chat and then signed up only to find out certain features were not available – Not even at an extra charge. Since some of them (custom name servers for example) were important I canceled after only having my account for 30 minutes. Even though I only had the account for a short period of time and I was only canceling because their pre-sales team gave me incorrect information a full refund was not issued. This is just not right. I engaged in 2 transactions with justhost.com. The first was for web hosting, and the second for domain transfers. Justhost.com was just not up to the job; all the services ordered were rife with problems and I encountered surly technical support staff that could not resolve fundamental technical issues. Justhost.com failed to provide what was promised, the services were immediately cancelled, and a refund was requested. Justhots.com did refund my money, in full, for the web hosting services in the amount of $71.40. It refused to refund the $44.85 I paid for 3 domain transfers. It claimed that it order to receive the refund, I would need to surrender ownership of the domain names which is nothing short of extortion. I have owned these domain names for years, they were never transferred over to justhost.com and, therefore, I never received the service I purchased. The person with whom I tried to resolve this problem was too thick to understand that the transfers were never made and, therefore, no services were rendered by justhost.com. I should not be required to pay for services not rendered and am owed my money paid.
Service cancelled and never activated. Justhost.com refused to refund money for services it never provided.
Resolution Sought
Refund my $44.85 because: (1) I never received and services or other value for my payment; (2) Company advertising states “Anytime Money Back Guarantee” which is a flat out lie in my case; and, and (3) Regardless of a guarantee or none, charging for services not rendered is theft, plain and simple. This company is dishonest and incompetent.

Just host is a just a joke! They say they will charge you 3.95 per month, but after you sign up they really charge you 142.00 for the next three years. It’s very misleading. I called to cancel my account, I was on hold for 20 minutes, then when I finally got through they told me they don’t accept phone calls if it has anything to do with billing. And it takes 5 business days to get a refund. I e-mailed them, they said they will get back within 18 minutes, but I’m still waiting for them. This is the worst business I’ve ever dealt with. The people who run it, should be ashamed for trying to blatantly trick people into spending more money. My 6 month old nephew could run a better business. I’ve never been so disgusted in my life. It’s a down right shame that a company like this has even started let a lone been in business for 7 years. I hope one day they get their act together. I recently applied for a web hosting service with JustHost and the company demanded that I send a copy of my passport and a copy of my credit card to validate the purchase. I thought it odd but did comply – with the exception of the copy of the credit card itself.
When I found out that they had already charged my credit card I sent an email and asked why…and they refused to explain this rather simple question, they only demanded the copy of my credit card again.
That made me suspicious and I cancelled my purchase. Now, 5 days later, I still have not seen the funds returned.
My first contact was with “Gabe” and there I have no complaints… then a “Nick” took over and it was his arrogant reply that made me cancel the purchase… and all I asked was why they had charged my account and then refused to deliver the “goods”.
Later I used GoDaddy and in less than an hour my website was up and running…so I do not give any high marks for JustHost customer service – it is nonexistent if you happen to get the wrong person to handle your communication. I can NOT recommend this webhost…

I have called and emailed over 15 times since signing up two days ago and they have been terrible at responding to me and absolutely useless when I actually get someone on the line. They don’t speak ANY english and can’t answer ANY of my questions. Whether I email billing, support or sales, I get the same automated responses, time and time again. I’m now trying to get my money refunded after only two days and it’s like a nightmare. They promise a money-back guarantee, but keep ignoring my requests to cancel!

Having been with JustHost for less than 48 hours, and having to contact support 5 times in that timeframe I’m less than pleased with them. It started with being given non-working logins for cpanel which took eigt hours to sort out (given a different excuse each time I contacted support). That should have set the alarm bells ringing. I’ve now been unable to access my cpanel, or forum for over 3 hours, and again being fobbed off with laughable excuses by support. Oh how I wish I’d found these reviews BEFORE I signed up! Time to cancel the account methinks (which is wrong anyway. I paid for a Premium Plan & have been put on a Standard Plan!) Avoid these cowboys at all costs!

After finally deciding upon a web host I find that in fact Just Host are not osCommerce compatible, I spent $70 on an osCommerce Template Monster template and then another $70 on the hosting.. and for what?? I will certainly be going elsewhere!
Edit: After moving over to Blue Host I’ve found out that it’s not a fault of Just Host’s, I could pick any web host in the world and this template still will not work… Back to Template Monster with this! I should also mention that I have since then moved back to Just Host, they reactivated my account immediately – I take back everything I said in this review, these guys are great!

I’m happy for a lot of reasons after switching here from Yahoo. For one thing, it took me about 10 minutes to get a forum up and running, no problems, pages seem to load faster as well, although I did pay an extra 2 dollars a month for faster speed. Before coming here I had actually given up on ever being able to make a forum. I spend about 3 weeks and countless hours at yahoo, I can’t believe how easy it was here. I also like the live chat feature, I find that easier than making a phone call. Not as user friendly as yahoo but my page already looks 10 times better.

I’m a web developer so I always only choose my host based on reliability and speed. I don’t need the features and I know I won’t need unlimited resources or tech support to be honest. So i tested a couple of other web hosts and thought i would take advantage of money back guarantees and found JustHost to be the best of the hosts i tried which included fatcow (who sucked and now wont refund either but that’s a different matter), godaddy (to complicated and a bit pricey) and hostmonster (slow, took days to answer my emails with poor responses)
Justhost answered my emails quick, although tech could still be slightly better but most importantly justhost were fast and easy to use. And after 30 days I can say reliability is good as no downtime or maintenance. Let’s hope they keep it up, but so far so good.

I purchased a web site from just host over a week ago. I still cannot access the web account that I paid for. Their customer service just sends me an email saying they will respond in 30 minutes (not true). When I purchased the account, no mention was made that I had to register the ‘free’ domains on purchase, so I lost that (assuming I could access the account to use it. When I was in the process of purchasing, the account was listed as monthly, but when they billed, they billed annually without notice. I do not appreciate the lack of information and lock out of access to an account that I paid for (with the exception of billing, where I can access and get more information on additional things I can buy from them.

My advice is to keep away as there is a very nasty hidden sting in the tail of these people. 1 – technical support can’t string a sentence together which makes me fairly sure that they are in a place where English is not their first language. Non of my questions were answered adequately. I only received hopeless links to their help section which didn’t relate to my specific question. 2 – They have made their website builder program so that it won’t accept Meta Tag code unless you pay them an additional $49.95. ie you can’t submit your site to be found by the major search engines unless you pay these theiving bas£$rds

Sincerely, I did not hope to get so much quality with a cheap hosting plan whatsoever. Justhost has kept on impressing me since I started looking at reviews for a new host. I almost could not find any complaint about that company, though they have hundred of thousands of customers. Since I signed in, I have simply been charmed and impressed by the quality and the speed of their customer service. They have helped me with very specific requests about DNS management, even about configuration of some script in Fantastico which was not working properly (though they contractually do not support the scripts inside fantastico, like all other hosts). One very important point is that their support team (well, the 3-4 people I have received mail from) speak perfect english. The upload and download speed is great, the control panel is very fast, the price is incredible. What else… They are the very best host I have seen in the last 10 years I have hosted websites. You should rush to them!

I switched from websitesource to justhost, based on the good ratings on this site. I signed up Friday, and canceled today (Sunday). Tech support is EXTREMELY slow. They say that average response time is 18 minutes, and then the next window says 30 minutes. In real-time, I had a running query for 48 hours, and they responded at best, in 90 minutes, and at worst, in 5 hours. The phone number is (purposely?) difficult to locate. The one attempt I had with live chat, the rep told me to use the e-mail ticket for fastest service. Additionally, tech support does not seem to read entire queries, and delivers the same suggestions repeatedly. Justhost is fast with live chat when signing up. Tech support is much slower. Shouldn’t paid customers get better support than prospectives? Just to put it out there, the three advertisers on the webhostinggeek frontpage are justhost, webhostingpad, and inmotion…coincidentally or not, all are top 3 in the review list. I switched to fatcow. Much better.

Just signed up for JustHost with expectations of course! But anyways, straight to the bad points, well there aren’t too many to be honest. The customer support is obviously foreign and their English echoes that, however if you have the slightest clue about working online you’ll be fine and have a good site running in less than 20 minutes. For the price I got, 2 Years for under a hundred bucks I’m happy and I hope it stays that way!

I’m not very good with computers but found their control panel very easy to use. I also had a very small problem (which seemed big to me) while setting my website up, I called the support team and they fixed my problem (which was me doing something wrong) in 2mins.
